my friend and partner KAMAAL (aka THE ABSTRACT aka Q TIP) celebrated his big birthday on April 10th. i had been planning the details of the party all week; balloons, cupcakes and an ill backdrop made by DOVES TCK. i knew the night would be hectic, but i really didn’t plan on a stampede.
the night began early with dinner at NOBU. my good friend and mentor GRACE was my date. it was nice to see and meet all of the people closest to him. i was very honored to be apart of it all.
*the man of the hour gave a great toast…
*TIP loves PATRON shots! it’s important to learn how to fake a shot if you’re light-weight like me. usually, you just have to hold up your glass and cheers with everyone. then, put your lips to the glass and don’t drink! you can usually dump it when no one is looking.
*GUCCI KICKS from CONSEQUENCE! very nice job…

afterwards we went straight to the party where THEOPHILUS LONDON was performing, as part of our new addition to the party where there will be a performance in the first hour that showcases emerging artists!
*he pulled me on stage and we had a mini dance off.

It was my first time in Santos and I enjoyed partying that night there.
I loved the street style of everyone back in the 90′s.
