life: flying to ATL to shoot a video…
for YUNG LA. i haven’t been to ATLANTA in a minute, but i have very fond memories of it. first of all, i love southern culture – so it wins. aside from that, the city just seems to have such a great energy especially among the youth…
i already made my requirements for this work trip. TI needs to come surprise visit me and do an episode with me on ROAD TO REDEMPTION; someone needs to be hand feeding me chicken and waffles (preferably a grandmother type) – and i MUST get a tour of “Magic City”, during the day and not at night – when there is no “dancing” going on. is that too much to ask?!
dinner with BEVY and BELVEDERE: “maceration is natural”
BEVY SMITH is a legend. seriously. if you don’t know her, please google. she’s most recently known for orchestrating dinners that help connect like-minded professionals. on MAY 1st, she hosted a dinner for RENAISSANCE WOMEN with BELVEDERE (maceration is natural)…including, supermodel LIYA KEBEDE, ESTELLE, MIMI VALDES and more. also on the bill…the youngest of them all – MOI! i’m still shocked i was invited to attend the dinner and not asked to wash the dishes 
thanks to BEVY. she’s an inspiring woman who has really carved her own lane in this world! and also, the food was spectacular.

*LIYA KEBEDE, center. in 1999, we were in the same ENGLISH CLASS at THE SCHOOL OF VISUAL ARTS. this was before she was as big as she is now, but she was just as flawless then. i remember being so stunned by her presence, just look at her. i was re-introduced to her at the dinner and told her we had a class together, but she didn’t remember me and then i felt like a loser – haha.

behind the scenes: JUSTIN BIEBER – “ONE TIME”
as forementioned in my previous post, JUSTIN BIEBER is USHER/DEF JAM’s new artist and he’s super talented and more street than any of these child stars. i got to direct his video in LA last week…
*JUSTIN mentioned he was a big fan of TERRY KENNEDY, so i called up the homie and asked him for a solid. he was more than happy to come through, TERRY is the sweetest dude – seriously.
TERRY gave him some skating pointers on tricks that JUSTIN was trying to master, and within moments JUSTIN was killing it.
