wow, it’s been 20 years!!! when i got the invite i think i jumped for joy. my date of course, was OSCAR WILD. since our love for that era was so deep there could have been no other person i would have shared it with.
SPIKE LEE introduced all the people involved, from the PA’s to RUBY DEE (“Mother Sister”). what an amazing time captured on film…

it’s been a few days, but i know we are still sad about MJ’s passing. friday night, THE OPEN PARTY dedicated the sound waves to our recently departed “KING OF POP”. i think the best way to honor someone’s memory is to celebrate their lives and so we did! the crowd was extremely ecstatic in celebrating all the hits this man cranked out. i normally don’t dance…but, had no choice when i heard the music.

i know a lot of were effected by MICHAELS passing. how did you guys remember or celebrate his life?
life: STRANGE NYC FIRE SKY + STEVE STOUTE’S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION AT AVENUE!
after the photoshoot, i happily kept my makeup on. as i went to grab a cappucino, i realized the sky literally look like it was ablaze. everyone on the street was taking photos and gawking heavily at the strangeness in the sky. i was thoroughly freaked out…it’s just not natural. did you guys see it?!

JAMIL GS is a phenomenal photographer, that i had the opportunity to work for and study under circa 2003. he’s an american dane who is known for his stunning images of women…sometimes erotic, always seductive. although i worked for him, i had never been photographed by him…which, would have been tasteful if i had!

damn. what’s worse than MICHAEL JACKSON passing away? passing away the day MICHAEL JACKSON died. i almost didn’t realize icon FARRAH FAWCETT has also died.
Farrah Fawcett, the shimmering actress who became one of greatest sex symbols of her generation, died in a Los Angeles hospital, ending a three-year battle against cancer .
i don’t believe people ever really leave us…so, while we also remember MICHAEL JACKSON…let’s also take a moment for FARRAH.

i almost still don’t believe it, like it was a faked death…
this day was unexpected to say the least…”THE KING OF POP” died today at the young age of 50. despite the controversy surrounding him, he was a legend. his music, style and life had a great impact on the world.
this is one of my favorite memories of him, when he starred in the motion picture “THE WIZ” as the “SCARECROW” (alongside DIANA ROSS). since, i couldn’t find a clip from the movie i decided to post the song…
