RIP: MICHAEL JACKSON
i almost still don’t believe it, like it was a faked death…
this day was unexpected to say the least…”THE KING OF POP” died today at the young age of 50. despite the controversy surrounding him, he was a legend. his music, style and life had a great impact on the world.
this is one of my favorite memories of him, when he starred in the motion picture “THE WIZ” as the “SCARECROW” (alongside DIANA ROSS). since, i couldn’t find a clip from the movie i decided to post the song…

I remember as kid watching the video for Billie Jean and admiring the way the everything would light up when Michael touched it. That was my favorite MJ video…..RIP MJ- The King of Pop
I know it’s so sad, I still can’t believe it. He was the best to ever do it. People constantly tried to tear him down but still reigned supreme and untouchable. He’s gone and NEVER will be forgotten, as he lives on threw his family, friends, and fans. Honestly, his video with Janet Jacskon “scream” is the video that blew me away, and I decided I wanted to be a video director after seeing that video. I wanna be able to create something so fly when I make it to your level
REAL TALK!
“If you enter this world knowing you are loved, and you leave this world knowing the same, then everything that happens in between can be dealt with” *Micheal Jackson*

(STILL TRYNA FIND A LEATHER JACKET LIKE THE ONE IN ” BAD “)
I’m so devastated that MJ has died I really can’t believe it! my heart is broken. I even bought tickets for his show, damn why!!!. I cant even chose the songs or memories or Ill be here all nite. Human nature, rock with you, I love all the songs from bad! off the wall, thriller and truimph album! my fav memory of Mj is motown 25, being scared of thriller and running home after school to watch the premier of black and white. I love the wiz he did a great job. MJ i love you and will miss you, your music, live shows, videos and charity work lives on!
oh yeah captain eo, we are the world and moonwalker!!! thank you mike!
his work was sooooo ill, the radio over here in san diego been playing all his music since around 2pm. i cried for a while around 6pm, after it finally hit me that he passed away.. Man, i’ma miss Mike Jackson! r.i.p!
I feel you Va$htie on the faked death aspect… How do you sell out 50 shows and just disappear? I would also if I owed people over $100 million dollars.
Despite all of that, Michael Jackson is still a legend. His music will live on forever! He is the greatest off all time!
Thanks for the post!
Erica
Man I don’t where to begin…The Movie The wiz one scene was an actual album cover for a ep i did. That one scen in the wiz spoke in volumes…
His life was my fairy tale as a kid.I mean before Off the Wall and Thriller. I remember he performed at Disneyland on television and I flipped out. I never bought his Albums till I was older nut Thriller was the First album. Then the we are the world event they was holding like a yellow ribbon that was suppose to be connected around the world.
Nas actually used a sample from one of his songs on Illmatic that NOBODY thought would get cleared. It did and is a favorite song off a classic album.
The thriller album,Bad Album All mega events that made the world stop to watch a music video.
Even in his later years the man was amazing and very stern about his song selection.
My favorite song is Just Leave Me Alone. That video imagery blew my wig back with the chimp dancing on the carnival rocket.
I can go On and On.
“lets jus look at what we can prove-his talent” AMEN larry king
DONT YA FEEL LIKE ONE OF YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS DIED??MAN WE GREW UP TO THAT
my fav is the wiz to… cuz thats lik my fave movie after crooklyn
oooo and his remember the time video … good shit
Sonja^^ yes, I feel like I lost a member of my family. Wow….I’m almost at a lost for words….
I loved his music. I even used to search and find old Jackson Five music when I was a kid. I loved his musisc so much I wanted to hear his earlier works. I searched everywhere trying to find old albums(internet and downloads weren’t available), so my favorites were Going Back to Indiana, Maybe Tomorrow, Got to Be There, Looking Through the Window, the of course THe Wiz was amazing, Off The Wall, Thriller, Moonwalker, Bad, I cant remember the name of the cd right now but it has the songs Butterfly and Rock My World (that cd was so under-rated!). I could go on and on about how much I loved his music and loved him as a fan to an icon. I pray God comforts his family. I know they must be devastated, especially his parents. Its not easy losing a child.
Lady in my Life and Human Nature were my all-time favorites, that I still listen to today.
geez..its like 5 am and i still can’t stomach it. i was talkin to my friends earlier and i had to realize the entire WORLD is mourning…THE WORLD!! and i’m a 80s baby so i was a devout MJ tv specials watcher. but the first cassette i had was “Off the Wall”…and i had never heard songs of love like that…its like you could feel him on your skin..like that’s the way all men should feel about a women..
But my memories are:
-being impressed by someone having Vincent price on a song
-the first time i heard “I can’t help it”, “Show me where to go” & “The love u save”
-smooth criminal lean…nuff said
-the bunny in “Speed demon”
-The dance with elephant man (but also the shrine to Elizabeth Taylor)
- the way he pursued the girl in “The way u make me feel”..smooth
-the 2300 jackson st family special!!
-The jackson family movie
-when he flew offstage in a spacesuit
-and most of all…
At the end of “Smooth criminal”, when he slo-mo turns and winks at the kids in the window…..tears and smiles everytime..
The tears are just rollin. RIP.X
One word :Thriller, and the Bollywood spoof. classics
ashley ^^^ you hit it right in the nail!!! loved everything you said, damn im messed up, im like playing a mj marathon of his stunning music from 1969-2001
I’m sure that everyone is completely devastated like I am. When I heard it, I thought that it was a lie, like most of the rumors about him. He was probably the most kind and loving person who ever what this Earth and he was too good for this world. People like himm do not die, because his music, his dances, and his spirit will live forever. RIP Michael Jackson, King of Entertainment.
i love the Liberian Girl video, how theyre all looking for michael and at the end he just appears laughing from behind the camera haha, makes me smile everytime.
he gave so much to the world, its crazy how he was able to make so many people happy and how he is apart of so many peoples lives and memories.
x
will always remember the gloved one for his use of the latest technology, special effects, and make-up artistry in his short films/music videos. his dance moves and choreography were simply memorizing; how many of us remember trying to moonwalk for the first time? i remember when my siblings and i put on socks and tried to moonwalk across our linoleum kitchen floor after we saw MJ perform the moonwalk for the first time in public on the ‘83 Motown 25 TV special. he truly shaped my childhood.
“If you enter this world knowing you are loved and you leave this world knowing the same, then everything that happens in between can be dealt with.” RIP MJ
My fav memory was the Victory Tour. I was super young but I remember it like it was yesterday. It was the best concert I ever saw. I remeber leaving with a feeling that I could do anything. I was so awestruck and inspired. Michael was an angel!
I will always remember when I heard NAS – IT aint hard to tell, best use of MJ in hip hop!
I grew up listening to Michael in Taiwan. There were rice paddies, giant cockroaches, and skinny kids kicking their legs in the air and shouting, WHOO HOO! and pointing their fingers. Michael was a global phenomenon. I definitely feel like I lost a bit of my childhood yesterday with his passing.
I think we need a Michael Jackson dance party at Santos tonight. It’ll be cathartic!!
That man made magic! I am so heartbroken, but he lives on through his art, fam, and fans forever. I love you MJ!
The king has left the building… so so so sad.
We love all of his stuff! But we love the early Michael the most, from “Got to Be There” to “PYT” to Captain EO and Moonwalker, and everything in between and after! He was just so dope, I mean.. wow words really do fail us!
May he finally rest in peace. He deserves to be free from all the negativity, pain and turmoil.
We love you MICHAEL!
“Remember the time” was my sh*t– love the song, love the video.
Damn, it’s now starting to hit me
RIP
I STILL CAN’T BELIEVE IT!!! MICHAEL JACKSON BROUGHT MUSIC AND DANCE TO THE NEXT LEVEL!!! HE CREATED DANCE MOVES LIKE NO ONE ELSE AND HAD A UNIQUE VOICE!!
NO ONE WILL EVER BE LIKE HIM AGAIN!!!
MY FAV’S ARE “DON’T STOP TILL YOU GET ENOUGH”, “BLACK OR WHITE”, “BILLIE JEAN”, “THRILLER”, “HEAL THE WORLD” AND “WE ARE THE WORLD”
TOO SAD THAT HE PASSED AWAY, HE WAS WAY TOO YOUNG TO DIE!!!
R.I.P. MICHAEL JACKSON
