oh AXL, you’re fiery tresses had my heart ablaze! this “SWEET CHILD O MINE” had styles for days. i guess my look lately really has been “Axl Rose’s secret black girlfriend”…check out the similar stance and style below! i was so obsessed with GUNS N’ ROSES as a little one, that i would steal my older sister’s cassette and bring it to school.

seriously. am i the only one?
MYSPACE was enough for me. now there’s FACEBOOK?! i started an account not too long ago, but i can only bring myself to check it once a month because its an over-stimulation to my senses. i have over 900 friend requests that have piled up since i started the account that i have yet to go through.
i get it, it’s a great tool…but, i can’t keep up with electronic conversations. there’s too much going on! i can hardly remember to lotion up my ashy hands (seriously, ask any of my friends), let alone write “25 things about me that you didn’t know”.
my memory is that of an old mans. and now there’s TWITTER?! good grief!
serious props to those who multi-task on that technological level. i wish i could be that on point. KUNLE tried to sell me on it the other day, but i don’t know. i thought blogging was self-indulgent as is…constant updates seems a little crazed.
by the way, i’ve been informed i was on TWITTER…and i am not. at least for now. i’m a dinosaur, what can i do?!

covers can be questionable at times, but MAXWELL covered this flawlessly! this song makes me cry…this video breaks my heart. it was used in the 1988 movie “She’s Having A Baby” starring Kevin Bacon when his wife’s life is threatened during childbirth…super tear jerker! KATE BUSH is a legend!!!

yes, you read that right. a few months ago TAJ MELENDEZ reached out to me and put me on to a song he made, inspired by me. yes. i was blown away not only because it’s such an honor to have him write a song about me, but it’s also a dope track. i met his sister at SANTOS on FRIDAY night, INDIGO, and she was super sweet. anyways, please check out his Myspace page and show him some support…i love seeing people doing their thing!

rad video: METALLICA – “Turn The Page” directed by JONAS AKERLAND
the song is actually just as dope as the video and it’s a BOB SEGER cover. Seger’s version is about the hardship of living on the road – but, this video (directed by the amazing JONAS AKERLAND) follows a stripper/prostitute and her daughter. it’s beautifully shot and an interesting view. it stars adult star GINGER LYNN.
METALLICA has some jams, my personal fave is “FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS”! I’m so metal!
