life: LYME 09 (jerk chicken, poolside, the n-word, dumplings and steph curry)
on the way to LYME CONNECTICUT…we stoped at SUPER DUPER WEENIE. it was featured on FOOD NETWORK and it had amazing reviews. i will say…the hot dogs were not as super duper as advertised

life: EDITING THE PEPSI COMMERCIAL…
editing can be long, but usually fun. when done at an editing house, there’s always a surplus of fancy foods and beverages like NUTELLA or BOYLANS BLACK CHERRY SODA. paired with a comfortable couch and a great editor like MAURICE ABBATE and you’re good!
the other night i spent the evening editing with BARRY from PEPSI, RENEE/LYLETTE/and DAN WERMSER from RPM and AAHMEK from TRIGGER HAPPY in order to create a finalized edit…

if i had the opportunity to kidnap anyone in the world and force them to make a comeback album, it might be miss LAURYN. i know, a lot of us judged her during that MTV UNPLUGGED…but, i was impressed by her vulnerability. so many musicians these days keep their emotions (if any) on lock, it’s nice to see humanity every now and again.

this is dedicated to ELLE. for a long time now we’ve been reenacting past moments of hilarity in reality television, and this has been one that brings us tears of joy. i just found this song on YOUTUBE and had to share. for those of you who remember this, it might serve as a nice giggle. “SWEET APPLE DEE – APPLE DEE…COME ON BE MY BABY TONIGHT”
for those of you who don’t remember, it’s when people on the REAL WORLD were still enforced to hold a real job…hence the title “REAL WORLD” and not “CONSTANT VACATION AND RANDOM CASUAL SEX IN HOT TUB WORLD”…

thoughts: REAL SIZED WOMAN IN GLAMOUR MAGAZINE MAKES WAVES
it’s crazy to see the obsession with thinness in our culture today. people come in all different sizes and shapes. everyone should celebrate and be proud of themselves – no matter what.
i stumbled across a photoshoot that GLAMOUR MAGAZINE did recently for a story on feeling comfortable in your own skin. they featured LIZZI MILLER, a “plus sized” model (i don’t consider her plus, rather normal), who measures a size 12-14 which is the average American womans size. it’s pretty groundbreaking to see a woman’s natural form, not conforming to an uncomfortable pose to make her more appealing.
one photo created a major buzz of the model sitting hunched over and laughing, wearing only her underwear…AND, her stomach naturally hanging and not being sucked in unrealistically. women, all over have been responding to it positively…big and small, everyone has flaws.
i think it’s long overdue that we really see women, naturally…all sizes and shapes.
