rad video: MARINA & THE DIAMONDS – “HOLLYWOOD”
thanks to OSCAR for putting me on ( as usual). this girl is so dope. apparently this song and video truly comes from her obsession with AMERICA (she’s from WALES). when i travel abroad i get an interesting sense of AMERICAN LOVE & HATE. then i realize (post BUSH) that i now feel okay verbally saying that I LOVE AMERICA and LOVE BEING AMERICAN – despite our obvious flaws and conflicting history (but, every country has skeletons in their closet)…i can’t deny how this country has formed me. i may not always see eye to eye with the upper hand, but i love my people and who we are for our positives and negatives.
