random: MY MOM SENDS ME MAD CARDS DURING THE HOLIDAYS

not sure if that is a foreign mom thing, but it makes me giggle every time and she only starting doing it after i moved away. it took almost my entire life for us to finally get along to a degree and i love the little woman…

definately a foreign mom thing. mine is exactly the same. i love the fact that you’re out pursuing your dreams, instead of doing just what foreign parents expect of you. i need this kind of courage right about now -_- but i love you vashtie!

    @ An Dukes.
    I totally agree
My great grandmother is from the islands…patois and all.
She and my grandma send cards for EVERYTHING.They’ll always put some patois island saying “Tikya for Tikya getcha hunna”
or “don be ye free til’ ye fool hunna” It’s adorable b/c their so old and cute.
