my night began with friends, one of which brought someone a little inebriated with an ignorant sense of humor. the majority of the group met up with me earlier and warned me about this character. apparently he was offending everyone before i met up with them. he previously said to the mutual friend “shut your slut mouth”. classy.
i’m used to such situations and people so i can literally handle any insult with the ease of a sarcastic smile and an even more sarcastic comment right back. ELLE says it’s because i was raised by an older gay brother who taught me a level of shade that most will never reach.
LITERALLY UPON MEETING…
Dude: What’s up bitches!
WE ARE INTRODUCED…
Dude: Nice to meet you. (sarcastically and ignorantly) Hey, you friends with MIA?
Me: (slightly confused and extremely offended for non-obvious reasons, (but holding a smile) Why? Do I look like I’m friends with MIA?
Dude: I’m just asking, I’ve been asking everyone that all night.
Me: Is that an Indian joke?
Dude: I thought she was something else…
Me: Indian, Paki whatever. We all look the same – right? What’s the difference?
Dude: (shocked)
later, i took his original insult further by sarcastically saying to a friend “Actually I am MIA and I’ll be signing autographs later”. he overheard it and didn’t like that too much, so he got all upset, threw a hissy fit and left with his friend.
