LIFE: Big K.R.I.T.’s Album Listening Party – “Live From The Underground” (3.15.12)

I am so thankful I get to collaborate with artists like BIG K.R.I.T. He’s not only a major talent, he’s also a genuinely nice guy…which is something you rarely hair about performers. I mean, real-deal nice guy and Southern gentleman. So, it wasn’t a surprise when I found his listening party flooded with people who were anxious to hear the album and meet the man, otherwise known as “King Remembered In Time”.

Sidenote: Listening parties are always a little awkward, you’re meant to preview the person’s album – but normally, most folks just suck the open bar dry while networking. It would be better if it were more intimate…like if there was a giant bed and everyone invited to preview the album could climb on and the artist could be in the center, personally handing you your own headphones and playing each track…you know, like sharing an intimate artsy moment with a close friend or boo. Then again, what do I know?!
