A few weeks ago I DJ’ed an event for FACE Africa, a grass-roots organization dedicated to empowering women in Africa as well as funding water sanitation projects in Liberia. It took place at the DKNY store on Madison Avenue, which had collaborated with the organization on a shopping event where partial proceeds went to the charity.

The event was a blast. Karl Justin perfected the leather look and Tai Lotson gave a polished look with the help of her makeup kit!

DKNY was kind enough to lend me some pieces and even gift me a terrific dress (Haha, I’ve been trying to use the word terrific more…it sounds so antiquated), which I am planning to wear for the Summer. In case you were interested in what I am wearing…see below!

LEATHER BLOUSE WITH PEPLUM $895.00

(Yes, I tucked the Peplum…which seems weird, but worked out better with the angles of the skirt)

LEATHER CIRCLE SKIRT $895.00

+++++++++++

Special thanks to Carla Morte and Danielle Vreeland at DKNY for lending me these amazing pieces and for gifting me a special dress (see below)

Let’s be twinsies! Available on sale at ShopBop.Com Maren Striped Dress $237.50

    Cool! Yes, the peplum in this case looks better tucked it. If you had worn a pencil skirt, that peplum woulda been fly!
