LIFE: Rockie Fresh 3-D Visual Listening Experience at Sunshine Landmark Theatre (1.17.13)

My friend Emmanuelle over at Atlantic Records invited me out for a special ROCKIE FRESH 3-D VISUAL LISTENING EXPERIENCE. I met up with JOSH MADDEN, ELLE CLAY & RICKY TWIN and we rolled through. I loved that it took place at our local independent theatre, SUNSHINE LANDMARK, I see so many incredible movies there.

We crowded in a room before the screening and chatted it up. I ran into DIGGY SIMMONS and some other friends, took photos and caught up on our whereabouts and plans for 2013.

Shortly after we were ushered into the theatre and handed 3-D glasses.

I didn’t know what to expect. The first time I attended a Visual Listening Party was for KANYE’S “GRADUATION” release and it was pretty fantastic. As soon as the lights dimmed, ROCKIE FRESH came out and said a few words. The screen opened up and there we watched an incredible trailer from “BACK TO THE FUTURE” and a funny trailer for a terrible 80′s horror film. Then, in came the ROCKIE FRESH music and some nice visuals that his crew created. The 3-D glasses made me nauseous, but I didn’t even need them…the visuals were excellent.

This piece was one of my favorites. Really nice and fun to watch…
