There was once a man who had asthma, diabetes, impotency and obesity, which was causing him to be depressed. He decided to seek out an herbalist in Mexico to help relieve his pain. He learned that a plant-based diet could reverse the affects of all of his illnesses. That man was Dr. Sebi. He was a Honduran pathologist, herbalist, biochemist and naturalist who was sought out by Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes, Magic Johnson and Michael Jackson. This year, Nipsey Hussle announced on The Breakfast Club that he will be producing a documentary on Dr. Sebi’s New York Supreme Court trial where he proved the validity of his methods. His African Bio-Electric Cell Food Therapy has been used to reverse the affects of AIDS, Sickle Cell Anemia, Lupus, Diabetes, Arthritis, Cancers, Leukemia, Herpes, Epilepsy and Fibroid Tumors.
The premise of his work is that diseases manifest when there is acid in our systems. So we must remove acid to stay healthy. Acid exists in foods that may seem healthy, like lean meats or some vegetables. But an environment full of acid can breed disease. If you are up for a challenge, or just curious about trying an alkaline vegan diet, here are a list of foods that foster acid in your body that you should reduce or remove from your daily meals.
Canned or seedless fruits
Some of the fruits that do not fall on Dr. Sebi’s approved food list include cranberries and seedless grapes. Try to seek out locally grown, in-season fruits instead.
Reducing disease in our bodies begins with removing mucus. Anything that creates mucus should not be consumed, including all dairy products.
Many meats produced in the US are banned abroad due to the synthetic hormones that they are fed that could lead to cancer. According to Dr. Sebi, we should cut out meat completely.
Hybrid foods are foods that do not grow naturally in nature. They are a result of cross-breeding plants and require a lot of human effort to grow. Also, they have been altered to the point that they have mineral deficiencies and are high in sugar. Some hybrid foods include corn, potatoes and white rice.
Naturally growing grains, like quinoa, rye or wild rice, are alkaline-based. But wheat is not. If you love carbs, many grocery stores offer pastas, breads and cereals that are made with naturally growing grains.
