5 New Highly Anticipated POP Albums Expected To Be Released This Fall

2017 has certainly been the year of POP music with releases from Ed Sheeran, Drake, Deadmau5 and many more. As we draw down to final four months of the year, Artists such as Taylor Swift, Sam Smith and Miley Cyrus all announces the release of new music. As Jennifer Lopez shares her love for her current beau former New York Yankee Alex Rodriquez, Miley Cyrus adapts a more conservative image with a message. Here are 5 highly anticipated Pop Albums to check out:

 

Jennifer Lopez:

Por Primera Vez, J.Lo’s first spanish album in ten years, is releasing this fall. Por Primera Vez, translated as “For the first time“, marks her second spanish album after her Como Ama una Mujer. The upcoming record will be her ninth studio album. During an interview with the spanish publication HOLA!, Lopez teased several tracks to be featured on the album. “One of the things I love most is that it’s happy music.”, she says of the album. When asked about the inspiration of the album, Lopez stated there is something more romantic about singing in spanish.

 

Miley Cyrus:

If there is any musician in the industry today, that have been more transformable during their career, it is Miley. In five years, Cyrus has rapped with the likes of Future to wailing rock songs with Wayne Coyne. Scheduled to release her sixth studio album, “Younger Now” on September 29th, Cyrus coins Hillary Clinton’s election loss as inspiration. Saddened by the election loss, Cyrus decided to return to her country roots, in hopes to reach out to conservatives. The singer debuted the first single, “Malibu” in May at Wango Tango and performed “Younger Now“, at the VMAs in August. Days before her VMAs performance, Cyrus launched a website, Youngernow.com, where fans can upload artwork of the second single.

Sam Smith:

It’s been three years since the debut of “In the Lonely Hour“, and we’ve been sitting on pins and needles. Most of 2016, Smith shared videos of himself in the studio, working on music of his second LP. The “Money on my mind” singer also confirmed, late last year, that he has worked on music with singer Adam Lambert. In August, Smith filmed a music video and released his first single, “Too Good For Goodbyes” in September. The single debuted at number one in the UK, making it his sixth number one single. No confirmation on the title or release date.

Demi Lovato:

Pop Sensation Demi Lovato announced she will be releasing her sixth studio album, Tell Me You Love Me, in August. Coincidentally, the same day as the next artist, Taylor Swift. Lovato shared the news and a snippet of the album titled track on her social media accounts. The album will likely feature her summer single, “Sorry Not Sorry“, released in July. During a private performance hosted by Global Citizen, Lovato premiered her third single, “Sexy Dirty Love“. In a recent interview with MTV News, Lovato shared that the new project is inspired by Aretha Franklin, Kehlani and Christina Aguilera. Tell Me You Love Me will be released on September 29.

 

Taylor Swift:

After the public feud with Kanye and wife Kim Kardashian West, singer Taylor Swift took a well deserved break to restrategizes her next career move. However, on August 18, she wiped her social media accounts clean, including her official website. A few days later, she posted a several pictures of a snake. A snake, rumored to be in reference to her beef with the Wests, Katy Perry, and Calvin Harris. On August 23, Swift announced on her instagram that she will be releasing her sixth studio album “Reputation” on November 10th. The lead single “Look at what you made me do“,  release two days later, afterwards becoming number one in 75 countries. The track soon after debuted at number one on Spotify Viral 50 and Spotify 200.
