Adidas opens up largest store in Chicago

If you already loved Chicago for it’s mom and pop shoe store, music scene,  and it’s upbeat take on street style, you’re in for an additional treat.  Recently Adidas opened up it’s largest flagship store located in Wicker Park neighborhood. The 1532 North Milwaukee Avenue location covers approximately 4,966 square feet of shopping space for sneaker heads and hype-beasts alike to fulfill their Adidas needs and cop their must haves.

This year it was concluded that based off the sales of last year, Adidas ranked in as the the world’s #1 largest sneaker market (out-beating Nike and Under Armour). It’s clear Adidas wasted no time in making some more room for their success and what better place to have it in other than heart of Chi-town? Could this have been an idea inspired by the designer of one of the top sellers of Adidas, Kanye West?  We’re not sure but what better way is to cop Yeezy’s than in his hometown itself ? In addition to the fantasy, the Chicago location is releasing 350 pairs of EQT Support ADV Wicker Park in which 300 will only be distributed to the public.

Within  it’s opening-week of the store, the flagship location offered  Mastermind Japan, Alexander Wang, Spezial and White Mountaineering but was also accompanied with special performances (this past Wednesday)with Chicago artists like BJ The Chicago Kid, Knox Fortune and DJ ELZ. At this rate, we’re excited to see what else Adidas has next on their list to do but for now, be sure to stop at the location after a friendly visit to the RSVP  Gallery on your next trip. Thank us later.
