Anything You Can Do, She Can Do Better: The Kick Ass Women of Action Film

In honor of Women’s History Month, I think it’s about time to look into some of the kick ass women who brought out the bad ass in us. Throughout history, women were always looked at as only a supporting role in film. Not to mention, we were usually sexualized, damsels in distress or just there to look pretty. While there were plenty of women who broke down barriers in film, we didn’t fully bloom to pure badassery until the 2000’s.

Whether heroine, assassin or villain, women displaying their girl power are staples in not just film, but all of today’s entertainment. Let’s be real, what would today’s entertainment be without our charm and ability to control everything in our way? The proof is in the pudding that anything men can do we could actually do better.

There have been many examples of how kick ass we can be in film, but here are just a few of our favorites. Be sure to let us know who your favorite kick ass women are in the comments below!
