Before you can begin to style your curls, you must ensure that it is full of moisture. With the cold weather it’s very easy for our hair to become dry and brittle. During the summer time, it’ll soak up the vitamin D from the sun and obtain a large majority of its moisture from natural perspiration.
Without that, it can suffer. The first thing to remember when moisturizing is that the main ingredient will always be water. Water is the source of moisture. Follow the simple steps below and you’ll never have to worry about having anything less than shiny, moisturized, beautiful curls.
Wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner. (When choosing which brand to use, go with something that has water and oil as its main ingredients and is sulfate free.)
Make a hair mask by mixing coconut oil and deep conditioner. (Again, when choosing your deep conditioner, remember the two main ingredients.)
Place a plastic cap over your head and sit for 15 minutes.
Rinse your hair and dry with paper towel sheets. (Towels tend to soak up a little too much of that precious water.)
Seal it all in with a coating of oil/butter. (Coconut oil, Tea tree oil, etc.)
