“A NIGHT AT THE OPERA…Featuring Vashtie aka Miss Sweet Peppa.
Vashtie was one of the sweetest and best assistants I ever had, she has since graduated to becoming a successful video director, clothing designer and is now about to become a movie star. I am very proud of this one.
Here she is on the set at a Baptist church in Bed Sty, on the shooting of “A night at the opera” where she is being courted by Actor/Director Nemo Librizzi.”
life: OSCAR & RAUL HOSTING “NO HABLA INGLES” with RADIO ROSE
after a whole day indoors behind a giant computer screen (which is very common for me these days), i ventured out at midnight to visit the homies. OSCAR & RAUL were hosting the party, “NO HABLA INGLES”.

*OSCAR first saw me and asked, “V, why you so tall?”. he looked down and almost stopped himself because he already knew…”BURBERRY?” to which i responded “PRORSUM boo boo!”. then we chuckled. i love those boots. they’re more comfortable than my self loathing.

last week lovely SAMANTHA from FRUITION, LAS VEGAS paid us a visit…we had brunch at CAFE SELECT!

life: RUNNING INTO KID CUDI ON THE STREETS + SHOPPING AT IKEA IN BROOKLYN
while on our way to IKEA, ELLE and I were ZIPPING it with a ZIP CAR through the EAST VILLAGE and peeped who else — KID CUDI on location, shooting that new HBO show he’s starring in! we got out for a second to say hello.

*this was an excellent wine…
*i flirted with these boys over here…i even had some perfectly aged truffles.
(i thought it would be “truffles” as i chocolate, but it was more like mold. they put it on bread and added some duck liver and it was actually pretty good).

life: SHOWCASE at the 92Y in TRIBECA
QTIP’s new artists was performing at the brand new 92Y in TRIBECA and we went to check him out. his name is SPREE WILSON and he can play guitar like i can play tetris – which means he’s brilliant.
i have no photos of the artists, because every time i snapped away the image came out horribly due to my location and the lighting.

friday night, EMMANUELLE called me and ELLE over to the ANGELS & KINGS bar where the homie SCENARIO was directing a video for a track off TRAVIS MCCOYS new mixtape. we had some good times with the crew…

life: SHOPPING WITH LUCIA & FATIMA – say hello to my BURBERRY PRORSUM BABIES!!!
sunday, i met up with my homie LUCIA and FATIMA who was visiting from LONDON. we stopped in to BURBERRY to find these boots i’ve been day dreaming about. i rarely fall in love with a piece, but when i do…i hunt it down and make it mines! that’s right, i said “MINES”!
anyways, they were pricey BUT i got a really good deal and had to take them. (i just won’t eat for two weeks!)

life: MAXWELL “BLACK SUMMER’S NIGHT” CONCERT at MSG (september 28th, 2009)
first of all, i need to say this…MAX is one of the most kind-hearted people i know. seriously…and in his line of work that’s rare! OSCAR was supposed to be my date, but couldn’t make it. i asked ELLE to be my beard(ed lady) for the evening and she agreed!
*we couldn’t resist the backdrop art, so we decided to get a photo as a gift to our homie MAX!
*the wristbands gave us VIP entry into a cozy backroom where champagne was flowing like a recession…
*there was a gorgeous view of TGI FRIDAYS.
*COMMON opened with BILAL on stage, he did a great show.

*”PRETTY WINGS” performance. paper feathers fell from the ceiling as ELLE and I floated up out of our seats. it was magical.
