When I saw the boots it made me think of old turn of the century love stories of men who would go off to war and their loving ladies who masqueraded as men in order to fight alongside their lovers. I imagined that these were the boots these women would wear. As I perused the TIMBERLAND website where you would purchase these boots, it said: “Inspired by the days when women were called upon by their country to do their duty, these boots reflect the ingenuity of those who depended on their footwear as much as they were depended upon”. I knew it!

I believe she had to fight off another woman for it. sounds like the spirit of my knife-wielding grandmother was in her…last time I went to Trinidad I was informed my ole’ grandma that I never met went to jail in her younger days for stabbing a bird. GANGSTER!!!
