Damn. This song brings me back Summertime as a little kid. My brother would rent cars from Enterprise for the weekend and go everywhere. I was lucky enough to be his road dog and I’d sit backseat while he and his best friend Brian would cruise. I can see it all so vividly…my brother smoking Newports, Brian pumping the jams and me in the backseat soaking up everything.

I remember my brother would always buy cassette singles of the dopest songs out and one weekend there was only this Gabrielle single that we had to listen to when the radio wouldn’t suffice. I can even remember sometimes the instrumental would play and that would mean rewind or flip the tape!
