watch: THE GATEKEEPERS from CREATIVE CONTROL + starring CHAD GITTENS and SAM SNEED
ever wonder about those magical people that are known as NEW YORK CITY GATEKEEPERS? the ones that keep the cornballs and drunkies out? i know, there is a love or hate for them (love when you know them and hate when they don’t let you in). let’s be clear here, not all of them are created equally…so don’t let one bad door man make you single them all out. and don’t get it twisted, there is an art to any position and being good at it takes experience and talent. for fact, CHAD is excellent at it!
we rarely see what these folks have to deal with on a daily basis and who they are outside of the gate…this new series is a nice glimpse into that world. sure to make you laugh or look maybe even change your view on GATE KEEPERS…
CREATIVE CONTROL does it again!

NEW EPISODE EVERY THURSDAY!
watch: “8 1/2″ by FREDERICO FELLINI
if i didn’t love DANIEL DAY LEWIS as much as i do, i’d probably sabotage the new film 9 for being too “inspired” by the classic and legendary film “8 1/2″. if you plan on watching it, i only suggest you watch the original first. FELLINI is one of my all-time favorite directors.
oh, the drama of the uninspired director and his obsession with woman…
here’s a small clip from the film. it’s “GUIDO” (our antagonist) having a daydream about all the women he loves living under one roof in his own harem. (don’t mind the synch, Italian films from this era re-recorded dialogue and sound in post.)
watch: SUPREME x TERRY RICHARDSON x ROSA ACOSTA – video by ANGELO BAQUE
congrats to ANGELO on his directorial debut…you lucky dog! (thanks friend)
*don’t let my boyish looks deceive you, under my gut i have abs exactly like ROSA!
watch: “LONDON TO PARIS” – directed by GRACE LADOJA

watch: DARK DAYS (dir. MARC SINGER)
with a soundtrack by DJ SHADOW, this documentary on people who live underground will blow you away. haven’t seen it in about 9 years, but it’s embedded in my brain.
watch: THE WIZ
i don’t think i ever watched “THE WIZARD OF OZ” as a kid, but i did watch “THE WIZ”…which was the black version. all i can say is that this movie is a MUST. everything from the music, the fashion, the dancing and the art direction are spectacular! if none of those things interest you, it’s worth the watch to see MICHAEL JACKSON as the adorable scarecrow and DIANA ROSS as dorothy. this movie was also directed by the great SIDNEY LUMET. bravo!!! just “EASE ON DOWN THE ROAD!”
watch: “FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION” dir. Christopher Guest
this movie is so hilarious. if you haven’t also seen “BEST IN SHOW” you need to handle that. all the actors play their parts brilliantly. both movies are great at showing how deep and pretentious are interests and arts are…

“BEST IN SHOW”, also directed by CHRISTOPHER GUEST
watch: “HEAVENLY CREATURES” directed by PETER JACKSON
this is an amazing film done in 1994 based on the famous PARKER-HULME MURDER in 1954 New Zealand. 2 young girls, Pauline Parker and Juliet Hulme, that had an obsessive, strange, and sexual relationship with each other that led to them carefully planning a violent murder of Pauline’s mother.
using real diary entries and writings between the girls, the film comes to life. it dips back in from reality to imagination, giving you an understanding of who these girls were and how their minds took them into far off places.

*PAULINE PARKER and JULIET HULME.
watch: JEFF SHARLET on “THE FAMILY” (The Christian Mafia)
thanks to GREGGLES for this one. JEFF SHARLET has published a book that exposes “The Family”. check him on BILL MAHR speaking on the very topic. i won’t say too much because i don’t want to get choked out with a rosary. i would pay BIG money to see all the mafias of the world fight…right?!
