Thanks to JONNY SHIPES I was up in that place shooting behind the scenes of BIG KRIT and many others. ELLE was my right hand the entire night, snapping stills while I shot moving pictures. She got crunk when YELAWOLF came on stage, as it tapped into her ‘BAMA roots so hard that I swear he made a jar of moonshine appear in her hands.

It was a good time for meet and greets, but being a “girl backstage” requires a lot of intricate moves –  introducing yourself on professional level can be tough. We stayed in the cut having jokes with NIGEL SYLVESTER and CALLENDER.

*Don’t judge me, but while I was on stage shooting great footage of KRIT it was blistering hot up there. I didn’t even realize I had pit stains from sweat because I was so focused on the shot. “Oh how I suffer for my art!!!”

It’s so amazing to see your talented friends just take off. NEGATIVE-ASS STEPHEN (my loving nickname for STEPHEN BARR aka DJ HUGGIE BEAR) has been moonlighting at one of New York City’s best hotspots for food, lodging, shopping and play — THE ACE HOTEL.

Last Saturday he went IN! Playing jams ranging from Raze’s “Break For Love” to The Smiths “This Charming Man” to Rolling Stones “Start Me Up”. As if the music wasn’t entertainment enough, half of the room was staring in awe at this young, big, black gentleman playing music they didn’t quite expect from DJ HUGGIE BEAR.

I can’t wait for next week!

St. Patricks Day fills me with joy for my Irish people and their struggles, but being outside during St. Patricks day surrounded by non-Irish drunk folks with beer muscles is one of my worst nightmares realized. STEPHEN BARR aka DJ HUGGIE BEAR and I set out to see Erin Lennox’s Comedy Show. We had aimed not to attend as late as we did last time – ultimately missing the show. We met for dinner and ran into some friends…ANGELO and RAFAEL RIOS. Unfortunately, we got caught up and then it took forever to get a cab…blah blah blah…we were late and then eventually missed the show.

Anyways. It was fun not getting a cab, or rather being passed up for drunk frat boys. May all the cab drivers who passed me (assuming they were saving themselves a trip to Brooklyn) have bad karma today and enjoy cleaning up the vomit in your backseat!
