Ever wonder what really happens at Cash Money Records? With all the rumors circling around Nicki Minaj, Drake, and Lil Wayne, their most coveted signees, the streets are talking and Birdman finally has answers. Birdman finally released his Cash Money records documentary, Before Anythang: The Cash Money Story is available to watch on Apple Music.
The Documentary originally intended for release in 2016, tells the story behind the building and success of the label. What it doesn’t share, however, is how the declining relationship between Baby and Lil Wayne became what it is today. The two has been beefing ever since the allegations of Birdman continuously pushing back the release of Tha Carter V were made public.
Recently Birdman appeared on Beats 1 with Ebro, to speak of the documentary, but shied away from whether this film will help those understand the dynamics of the relationship with Weezy. A second half of the documentary, releasing later this year, which will cover Tha Carter III onward, presumably leading to the strife they ran into.
During the chat, Birdman talked about Cash Money’s continued success. “Look at Forbes, all my artists are on Forbes,” he said. However, during the 27 -minute interview, Birdman spoke on having a tough childhood, the idea of therapy, and much more.
