From The Runway To Your Closet, These Accessories are Must Haves

It’s that time of the year again, when fashion takes us around the world while showing us what’s to come for the next season of fall and winter. First we start in New York, then travel across the pond to London, then we head eat to Milan, and finally end in Paris. Some cities get a few days and some cities get at least a week to show off what’s next. There are many elements used to create the looks we see going down runways. Some of those elements include nails; make up, accessories, shoes, and hair. After all what truly completes a look?

A face is often seen as a blank slate but New York Fashion Week had other plans for model’s faces. There are only two words to sum up the beauty looks seen this fashion week in New York: BOLD and DRAMATIC. On a few runways it was bold brows, some runways it was a dramatic lip, on other runways it was a dramatic eye.

Tadoshi Shoji models wore a bold red lip, who doesn’t love a good red lip?

Tom Ford models rocked a dramatic eye look.

Naeem Khan gaves us both color on the lids and a strong brow. Time to accentuate those eyes!

When it comes to accessories we often subscribe to the notion that less is more. We even go as far as taking off one item before leaving out for the sake of not over doing it. Well London Fashion Week runways included accessories on how to do it without over doing it. Some London runways kept it groovy and fun while others chose the minimalist route.

Hats are a ‘thing’ and they are going nowhere according to Burberry whether as a visor, beanie, or baseball cap.

Statement earrings such as the ones seen above will always remain a staple on runways. Nothing says notice me more than a good lip, dramatic eyes, or dangling earrings. In this case it’s the dangling earrings, Erdem, Emilio de la Morena, and Christopher Kane all seem to think so.

Making an outfit with accessories doesn’t always have to mean jewelry or small leather goods. Sometimes it can be sunglasses or hairpins. The sunglasses seen at Ashish runway show is not only 70’s inspired but also playful with two different colors or the fuchsia toned glasses.

Who wouldn’t love these hairpins from Ashley Williams? Not only are they attention worthy but also they have a very street style look.

Despite Milan Fashion Week just starting with only a day under its belt we may have seen the craziest accessory ever at Gucci. From sleeping amphibians to replicas of models heads, who knows what next will appear on a runway? Paris Fashion week is a little less than a week away but hopefully with both Milan and Paris Fashion week we can find a new style of handbags and shoes to fawn over until Fall. Which look from these runways are you dying to recreate?
