WATCH: Drake Brings The Funny To ‘SNL’

Drake is really out here doing bits. For the last couple of weeks, he has maintained a trending spot across all major magazines and social media platforms. From dropping Views to announcing his tour with Future, and even shaving off his beard, there’s always something new about the rapper. Now, with his recent guest appearance on Saturday Night Live having just aired, Drake is basking in the limelight once again.

Drake came prepared to bring the funny and he certainly delivered.

Beginning the episode with a hysterical monologue, the hilarity continued all throughout the episode in each of his subsequent skits. Drake’s opening monologue features his performing a song complaining about his meme-able past: “It’s just hard when it seems you don’t love me for me. You just love me for memes,” as well as an impromptu impression performance of Rihanna’s “Work” wearing the signature wig.

The jokes didn’t stop there. To play off his rap beef with Philly native and rapper, Meek Mill, the “Drake’s Beef” skit featured various seemingly innocent or trivial scenarios that would cause Drake to go off. Peep how he drops bars roasting the cleaning lady for throwing away his unfinished water bottle among other travesties below:

Drake not only hosted, but also performed “One Dance” and “Hype” for the audience. All in all, it was a great episode jam packed with comedy, relevant hip hop references, and hilarious play on the best and worst parts of Drake. The episode has gained the rapper trending news all over social media, major news platforms and periodicals.

Everyone seems to agree: Drake killed that SNL episode.

Even if you didn’t watch the episode first hand, chances are you’ve seen it all over as snippets of his performance are widely circulated. If you’re still in the dark, click here to watch the episode yourself and see what’s got everyone laughing.
