Teyana Taylor shared the music video for the Wu-Tang Clan remix of “Gonna Love Me” on Friday, December 14th. The video was self-directed by the R&B singer and it features Ghostface Killah, Method Man, and Raekwon. “Gonna Love Me” is among the 8 tracks on her second studio album produced by Kanye West, K.T.S.E.
In the music video, Teyana plays Ghostface’s girlfriend. The video opens up with Teyana discovering a never before seen phone that belongs to the rapper. The situation escalates quickly into an argument between the two while she accuses him of cheating on her. The songstress storms out of their shared apartment and hits the streets reminiscing and singing about their relationship. It was something like that New York City “make up to break up” love story, that we all know far too well.
Ghostface raps his verse from the apartment, recalling the couples happier moments while Method appears in a stairwell. Raekwon delivers his verse during the club scene where Teyana finds Ghostface flirting with another girl. In the midst of all of the drama a fight breaks out, gunshots are fired, and the visual comes to an end. Viewers were left wanting more and we hope the storyline continues to build through the songstresses future projects.
Sidebar, we can’t get over Teyana’s olive green beanie with the cap.
Who remembers those?
