Colin Kaepernick Kneels On The Cover of ‘TIME’ Magazine

Colin Kaepernick continues to use his platform to spotlight the injustice Black Americans are currently experiencing in regards to police brutality. The impact has been felt so greatly that the revolutionary football player has landed the cover of TIME Magazine.

In the voice of Joanne The Scammer voice, “I C O N I C.”

Since Kaepernick’s infamous kneel during the national anthem, police have murdered 15 Black people based on a new report compiled by The Guardian. Athletes Marshawn Lynch and Megan Rapinoe have spoken and kneeeld in solidarity with Colin Kaepernick, along with Warriors head Coach Steve Kerr .

“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,” Kaepernick has said to NFL press. “There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”

Kaepernick recently announced that he plans to donate $100,000 to organizations addressing racial inequality and social issues. for over the course of the next 10 months. He also plans on a providing a website the public can use to track the funds.

The sad story continues to be told and Kaepernick’s protest continues to speak volume with the recent killings of 13 year old Tyre King, father and twin brother Terence Crutcher, and Keith Lamont Scott –who was killed while waiting for his son to arrive at the bus stop.

Kaepernick discussed his frustration with the recent killing of Crutcher by the hands of Tulsa, Oklahoma police stating: “They shot and killed a man and walked around like it wasn’t a human being… That’s not right. And they should be in prison for that.”

Kaepernick hasn’t revealed the launch date for the website, but he vowed that the proceeds from his jersey sales will go towards the fund.
