Atlanta stallworths Reese, aka Reese La Flare and Key! aka FATMANKEY have been cited time and time again for leading the charge and the culture when it comes to spearheading this new Atlanta/Internet trap wave (for the lack of a better term). After many associated acts like 21 Savage, Lil Yachty, Lil Uzi Vert and Rae Sremmurd have gone onto become pretty big stars, Reese and Key! almost instantaneously received a sort of parental status within the culture to those who really know what’s going on.
Been Had Boyz is the latest mixtape release from the duo. This year it looks like they are on a mission to remind people who started and cultivated the wave. With the only outside feature being Offset from Migos on the track “Money Phone”, the duo of Key! and Reese held down the project very well as a duo. Rumors are swirling that once the official Two-9 album drops, FATMAN and La Flare will both be involved. For those that don’t know Key! and Reese are both original members of the Atlanta based collective who are currently signed to Mike Will-Made It’s Ear Drummers label.
The stand-out track for me is the Franchise produced “1Up” which was previewed a few weeks back on Reese’s twitter. Enjoy the tape above and get ready for more from the #BeenHadBoyz and the respective projects they’ll be apart of. A little birdie told me Key! especially is planing some pretty big moves this year.
