If you’ve been following the evolution of Teyana Taylor, you know that she’s diamond dozen. When we first got introduced to the starlet, it was through the MTV‘s Sweet 16 and we were captured by her beauty, Harlem attitude, and her tomboyish yet unique taste in street-wear. Since her MTV debut, we’ve witnessed her talents manifest into a professional career including including signing Kanye’ West’s Good Music label back in 2012, a great deal of notable performances from her concerts to her tribute to the legendary Lil’ Kim. Post her tribute to the Hip-Hop icon, Teyana gave us more life by starring in Kanye’s visual for “Fade” (that Kanye introduced at the 2016 MTV VMA’s )that gave us a look into her passion for dance and her incredible physique. Just looking at the visual alone made everyone want to get into the gym the very next day or at least attempt. Shortly, she launched her “Fade2Fit” dance platform that showed us how to get it right and get it tight.
After the visual captured the eyes of millions, Teyana signed a modeling contract with The Society Management. Luckily for us, we got to see Teyana shine in a brand new light and take wins. In addition to winning her moon-man for “Best Dance Video”at this year’s VMA’s for “Fade”, Teyana also landed a role in The Breaks, inked a deal with Reebok, and most recently ripped the runways of New York Fashion Week.
Now we’ve seen seen Teyana walk in Yeezy Season 4 but NYFW, we got to see Taylor takeover in a whole different way. To start off NYFW, Teyana walked for the Milan-based brand GCDS with a walk to die for and the bluntest blonde bob you’ve ever witnessed in life. Following her refreshing catwalk, she also closed out Philipp Plein ‘s runway show with the help of Future in which she gave us a smooth and innovative strut in combination with sexy choreography to “Mask Off”. If you thought that was it, your playing yourself. Last but not least, Teyana delivered yet another strut by opening up the show for The Blonds. What Teyana delivered is something that’s hard to find on the table. Whether it’s her sneakers, her style, or her attitude, she never disappointing in serving the public a vision. As she continues to be the artist that she is,we know she will continue to deliver that Harlem flavor. For the mean time, catch Teyana’s head-turning moment’s below
