Meet the sneakerhead couple behind @EatGoodNYC

When the two sneakerheads behind @eatgoodnyc met on Tinder, they didn’t know it could lead to a profitable custom baking business. They’ve been commissioned to produce work for Nike, Reebok, Adidas and Converse. The duo just landed a feature on Champs Sports’ Ill-ustrated video series to sculpt cupcake versions of the Jordan 6 Rings, which was a shoe they’d never recreated before. This YouTube series highlights artists who use sneaker culture to inspire their work.

Carolina Wang and Benny Benjamin make up @eatgoodnyc. They got their start by posting desserts with the faces of celebrities they admired that they created together. They hoped this tactic would earn them some reposts and customers. And it did. They have created custom desserts for celebrities like Beyoncé, Swizz Beatz and Kith Founder Ronnie Fieg. According to Wang, “These brands and people have supported our work because they see the vision, where our desserts are not just food, but also art.”
