When it comes to bad gal Rihanna, what isn’t she responsible for Between breaking music records, her successful line with Puma, Fenty Beauty, and even help make a difference in global education as a GPE ambassador, she’ a wonderful example of utilizing creativity and inclusivity in the world of business. This year so far, Rihanna has released her Fenty Beauty body lavas, her SS18 collection for her Fenty x Puma line, and now she’s back to finesse all our coins again.
Recently queen Riri announced that she was dropping a lingerie line called “Savage X Fenty”X stands for all (as in sizes for everyone ) which is probably the most significant and poppin’ aspect about this line. The line already has an Instagram and Twitter (@savagexfenty for both) where you can find every update for the lingerie platform. The first collection is set to hit worldwide on May 11th. Unlike other popular lingerie platforms like Victoria’s Secret, Savage X Fenty dedicates to all consumers of all curves. SF isn’t the new VS, it’s its own unapologetic, inclusive, and confident culture and that’s a movement that we should all definitely make room for.
I think what we can grasp from Rihanna is that she places a great effort in making her products inclusive and that fashion and beauty isn’t about sticking to tradition and making people feeling boxed in, but rather about being innovative, and being unapologetic for the things that they love about themselves (rather that’s in the context of shape or color.)
