#VashtieMusic: Tara Lily Pours It Out in Jazzy Single Stormy Nights

Sometimes it feels like it’s always raining

Jazz singer Tara Lily has had a few stormy nights, but that’s fine. We’re hear to listen. The visual directed by Lucien Clarke captures Tara wandering around various locations including a motel, the beach, and a street corner asking for directions to an unknown location. Towards the end of the visual, Tara hops in a car and rides off with who she’s seeking. The rain has cleared up and she’s on her way to new love.

Today’s Jazz is niche. We have to go out and seek its gems or its incorporated in today’s r&b music. Tara taps into a new generation of Jazz allowing us to still get the essence of the classics in the 60s, but also including today’s touch and subject matter. Follow along to Tara’s lyrics below and tell us if you’re feeling if on @VashtieDotCom.

LYRICS:
stormy nights I sit by my window
open it wide look out to the skyline
take your time maybe this will be right
I’ll take mine (scat)

stormy nights break into my bedroom
raining inside a fight in the hall
feels like this rain will never stop raining
feels like this love is my greatest fall

don’t know what I’m doing
don’t know where I am
don’t know where you took me
I’m falling
I’m falling down
don’t know what I’m doing
don’t know where I am
don’t know where you took me
I’m falling
I’m falling

stormy nights they’ve issued a warning
I made you cry you smashed up my car
feels like this rain will never stop raining
feels like this love is my greatest fall

don’t know what I’m doing
don’t know where I am
don’t know where you took me
I’m falling
I’m falling down
don’t know what I’m doing
don’t know where I am
don’t know where you took me
I’m falling
I’m falling
