Just when you thought studios have re-vamped everything, Los Angeles Clippers star, Blake Griffin and Black-ish creator/writer, Kenya Barris are set to put a millennium spin on Ron Shelton’s classic film, White Men Can’t Jump.

For those of you with fuzzy memories of the exact plot–or in the event you somehow haven’t seen it–White Men Can’t Jump stars Wesley Snipes (Sidney) and Woody Harrelson (Billy) as two streetball players. Both believe they’re the best in Los Angeles, which causes them to eventually team up. Things begin to go awry as they themselves get in their own way, along with the gangsters seeking payment from Billy. The films title stems from Billy’s inability to dunk.

It’s too early to say if Blake Griffin will star in the film himself. However with an ever-growing résumé of comedic acting stints, we wouldn’t be surprised if he does.

Kenya Barris will loan his magic to the film by penning and producing alongside Mortal Media–a production company helmed by Griffin and Ryan Kalil, lineman of the Carolina Panthers.
