Bryson Tiller has finally blessed our ears with new music since his 2016 debut full-length release that set the industry ablaze, TRAPSOUL. Over the course of this year, the 23-year-old has racked up an impressive list of collaborations including Travis Scott’s “First Take” and most recently a guest spot on Chris Brown’s “Keep You In Mind.”
Tiller’s newest single, however, will surely make the perfect addition to your cuffing season playlist. “Let Me Explain” finds the Louisville crooner determined to patch things up with his lady over an 808-heavy arrangement produced by Phonix Beats. In between its transparent lyrics and nod to the 90s with it’s sample of Missy Elliott’s “Friendly Skies,” the track has all the makings of Tiller’s signature “trap soul.”
“No lie girl when I tell you you a blessing/Girl just let me make corrections,” Tiller belts over the pulse-pounding backdrop. The track comes a week after the singer teased that the follow up to his 2015 debut would be ready for fans “soon.”
Hopefully, “Let Me Explain” will be enough to hold us over until Pen Griffey strikes again.
