The Importance of Self-Esteem with Princess Nokia

“I am a gorgeous woman. It’s not me being egotistical or narcissistic, it’s just a fact. I’m a knock out,” says New York native Princess Nokia, as she smiles into the camera for her Genius.com interview. As she crosses her legs, she continues to tell us that she is divine feminine energy and its defined in her chemistry and how she walks. When it comes to self-esteem, you either have or you don’t. It’s not about how much better than others you think you are, clarifies Princess Nokia, but more of  how you carry yourself and think of yourself when in mixed company and when you’re alone starring in the mirror.

Earlier this year, the Harlem queen released G.O.A.T, a bad bitch anthem that really took self-esteem to another level. In the video, you can catch Princess Nokia, rapping slick lyrics, gassing herself up with with a smile in a white bikini bra and ripped jeans with a simple reminder that she’s that weird girl thats running shit. “I been fly, never needed help, I been me, ain’t nobody else,” raps Princess Nokia.

A divine feminine or (masculine energy) isn’t something that can be taught, as it comes from within. The way you think of yourself will greatly effect how others think of you regardless if your self-esteem is as sky high as Princess Nokia or not. Below, here are a few ways you can boost your inner energy while of course, rapping the lyrics to Princess Nokia’s G.O.A.T.

  1. Think about what is affecting your self-esteem.
  2. Avoid negative self-talk.
  3. Connect with people who love you.
  4. Learn to be assertive.
  5. Set yourself a challenge.
  6. Focus on your positives.
