The 75th Annual Golden Globes Awards ceremony went down on January 7th, and it was not one to miss! From the red carpet looks to the award acceptance speeches, elegance could be seen and heard all throughout the night.
Unlike ceremonies in the past, attendees took a new approach at making a statement and expressed it through fashion. The looks ranged from sleek fitted dresses to puffy princess gowns, but they all had one common purpose – to let everyone know that #TimesUp. The ladies of the red carpet all wore black in solidarity with the #TimesUp movement. Founded on January 1st 2018, this movement was started to acknowledge and end the sexual harassment and assault that plagues hundreds of women in Hollywood (and workplaces all over the country). The movement’s intentions are to give a voice to women who are mistreated and let those who abuse their power know that it will not be tolerated any longer.
Here are some of the breathtaking looks from some of our favorite actresses who did not only come to make a statement but also look great while doing so:
Without a doubt, this year’s Golden Globes ceremony deserves a thumbs up for fashion – but we’ll make it two thumbs up for taking a stand too! 😍
