At NYFW, Kith x Nike announced the arrival of their new project that Ronnie Fieg has been teasing, the Nike Air Maestro 2 . The first pair has a red, white, and blue colorway while the other happens to be a full purple hue.
The sneakers were shared on Instagram by Action Bronson, a friend of Fieg and fellow Queens native who always has exclusives from Fieg and has used social media in the past to tease collabs. Ronnie Fieg drew inspiration from Scottie Pippen’s time as a member of the United States “Dream Team.” While purple colorway may also be a a way to pay homage to Scottie’s alma mater of Central Arkansas.

This will be Ronnie Fieg’s first collaborative release with Nike as part of larger KITH Sport collection. The shoe is a modified version of the Air Maestro II. This new version features velcro lock-down straps on an interior bootie that extends from the ankle as well as a forefoot swoosh.
While there are still only rumors floating around about release information, GQ reports that only 120 pairs were produced so far exclusively for friends and family.
