Azealia Banks has reportedly signed a record deal with Wu-Tang Clan’s mastermind, RZA. While her talent is undeniable, controversy has been following the Harlem rapper since her 2011 “212” debut and fans have found it difficult to support her music. After severing her contract with Universal Music Group in July 2014, Banks surprised released Broke with Expensive Taste on her own label.

2016 has been a high and low year for the artist with her single “The Big Beat” from her Slay-Z mixtape gaining rave reviews while her social media bickering finally resulted in her Twitter account being suspended. The artist continues to post on Facebook to reach her fans and announced that she would be signing with RZA and working on her musical dram film, Coco, as well. There has been no official word from RZA about the deal yet. We’re curious to see how this relationship shakes out.
