Bape Release’s their Fall Capsule with Betty Boop

Hoodie season is on the way and Bape is not missing a beat. The Japanese hype brand founded  Nigo in 1993 is releasing their latest collaboration with Betty Bop tomorrow and the demand is hight. The street wear brand will feature Bop on their fall capsule creating a bond between those who love the hype and those who love the cartoon character.

This isn’t Bop’s first appearance on street wear apparel. She was recently also featured in a previous Supreme collection. The cartoon made its debut on August 9, 1930, in the cartoon Dizzy Dishes. Jazz singer, Helen Kane, is often given as being the model for the character, but Betty Boop was actually a cartoon version of the African American jazz singer, Esther Jones. Betty Boop also became the first American animated sex symbol.

The line’s outerwear, hooded sweatshirts, and T-shirts are predominantly pastel with the embroidery patched onto each item that is covered with a wool like material. The bombers are Satin and the denim jean jackets are hooded. Other items releasing include caps, earrings, and other various accessories.

The whole collection drops online at and in-store tomorrow morning.
