We are constantly being introduced to new oils, each one claiming to be some sort of ancient secret must-have secret for our beauty routine. If we listened to all of these, we’d be walking around as a dripping mess, thoroughly slathered in every oil known to man.

However, there is truth to the benefits of many of the all-natural and organic beauty products on the market. The key is to make sure the oils you purchase, if not at 100%,  are as close to pure as possible. If you look closely, you may see that many of the oils found at your local beauty supply contain a host of unfamiliar products and fragrances that diminish the health benefits of the advertised product.

One oil worth investing in is Marula Oil. Now, we won’t hypnotize you with a ton of colloquial beauty jargon to convince you into purchasing it immediately. Instead, we will state the benefits and let you decide for yourself.

Marula oil is extracted from the kernels (nuts) of the fruits of the Marula trees located primarily in South Africa. Marula oil contains a large proportion of monounsaturated fatty acids and natural antioxidants which make the oil very stable. One of the greatest aspects to this oil is that it works well for all skin and hair types because of its stability! And yes, you read that correctly, you can use this product for your skin, hair, AND nails. 3 birds, people!Image result for marula oil benefits

More specifically, the oil is rich in essential fatty acids that hydrate and reduce redness while nourishing, healing, moisturizing and improving skin/hair elasticity. Overall, the benefits are nothing short of remarkable, from its anti-aging properties, to its ability to fight blemishes and gradually heal scar tissue.

Try dabbing a bit onto your beauty blender or foundation brush after your normal moisturizing routine for an extra dose of glow!
