Thus far, this summer has been filled with two things we love here at Vashtie.com, music and videos ! This week, a couple artists served us either a visual from their current album, built up some excited for future albums, or was simply a Baemix. Here are the music videos that dropped this week that are catching our eyes!
Just days ago The Internet dropped their second visual from their forthcoming album Hive Mind that drops July 20th.
The first visual the group dropped was for their psychedelic track “Roll (Burbank Funk)” but now their back again with another visual that’s just too good to watch once. The group recently dropped an attention grabbing visual directed by Syd entitled “Come Over” which has summer feels written all over it. The visual captures each member bonding with their ideal lover in their own color coordinated world that ultimately mirrors a vibe that they understand. If Syd in this crop top and the puppy love (that embraces various sexual preferences)you see in this video doesn’t make you want watch to this video more than once, it’s safe to say you’re tripping.
If you’ve never heard “ICY GRL”, you’ve probably been living underneath a rock. The original video from breakout female rapper Saweetie released last December and now she’s back to put a special touch to the track. This special touch to the track I am referring to is recruiting the Bay’s very own Kehlani. Being that both of them are from the Bay,it was only right that Saweetie and Baelani link up to make this necessary magic. If you’re wondering if Kehlani has bars , yes but you’ll have to peep her flow by checking out the visual below.
The next video you need to be in tune with is A$AP Rocky‘s third visual from his latest album Testing. In this visual directed by Dexter Navy, A$AP Rocky teams up with London’s Skepta for “Praise The Lord (Da Shine)”.
The visual tells a tale of two men moving through two different environments in which are the homelands of both rappers. The video almost takes on a nostalgic feel as it zooms in on the life of two different rappers who overcame the odds and formed into the person they always dreamed of becoming.
Last but certainly not least, one of 2018’s breakout rappers is BlocBoy JB recently fused some more heat for us to “Shoot !” to in the club. The Memphis rapper recently linked up with Flamenco dancers to show off his dance moves for his latest video “Mamacita” produced by OG Parker and shot by Icy House Studios. Between him going platinum with Drake just hours ago for “Look Alive”, this is definitely a great year for the rising artist thus far. Check out his latest visual from off his Simi mixtape below now !
