1. Frank Ocean Surprises us with single, “Chanel”

Frank Ocean didn’t stray too far after his album drop in August of 2016. Since then, he’s been peaking in and out of social media to share his views on current events and surprised us on a collaborative song by Calvin Harris called “Slide” featuring Migos. On Friday night, his new single “Chanel” premiered exclusively and looped via his new Beats1 radio show, Blonded. The surprise single is crammed with flowing melodies and a lot of tweetable one-liners. We even got a remix with A$AP Rocky! Check out “Chanel” below!

For the fourth time since the birth of its production, the sequel to Avatar will be delayed. Director, James Cameron, announced the news of the blockbuster film’s postponement. According to Cameron, in an interview with the Toronto Star, “So, we’re not making an Avatar 2. We’re a making an Avatar 2,3,4, and 5. It’s an epic undertaking. So, I know where I’ll be for the next 8 years.” In the mean time, there will be an Avatar theme park opening at Disney World on May 27th of this year.

3. Killer Mike was honored for his service in home state, Georgia

Hip-Hop veteran and 1/2 of Run the Jewels, Killer Mike, has been honored by the Georgia senate for his outstanding leadership in working to make things righteous and equal in his home state. Acting as an ambassador for many causes, he’s used his Grammy nominated platform to bring issues to the forefront–having managed to shed major light on the value and importance of water. And as expected, he accepted his award in the most Killer Mike fashion, wearing his infamous chain.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer blended and bent genres, creating a versatile crossovers within television genres. There’s no secret as to how this show remained relevant for two decades.
