LISTEN: Fat Joe & Remy Ma – “All The Way Up” (Remix) (Feat. Jay Z)

Earlier this week, Fat Joe and Remy Ma stopped by Yankee stadium during one of their games to premier the remix of their hit single “All The Way Up” — featuring a verse from Jay Z that has everyone talking. For those familiar with Jay-Z and Fat Joe’s past history of beef, it’s clear why their collaboration on a song is a huge deal for hip-hop.

But what fans can’t seem to stop talking about is the lyricism on the track and who took the crown on the song. Many people took to Twitter to express that Remy Ma had the best verse on the song, but that didn’t stop Twitter from picking apart Jay-Z’s verse.

The rapper starts his verse with “You know you made it when the fact your marriage made it is worth millions/ Lemonade is a popular drink and it still is.” While some of his more OG hip-hop fans may recognize the reference to Guru’s famous line on “DWYCK,” most of the newer age fans instantly, and solely, thought of the Beyoncé album. This duality was brought up heavily on Twitter as well, as Jay Z likely intended. Especially when he ended his verse with a reference to the elevator incident between Solange and himself: “We never gonna let the elevator take us down.”

To hear the track and decide for yourself, you can stream the “All The Way Up” remix exclusively on here TIDAL.
