Kanye West Trademarks “Yeezy Sounds” For New Streaming Service

Kanye West is never short of ideas. t’s reported that he has trademarked “Yeezy Sound” for a streaming service.

This comes after the very public blow out between Ye and his former business endeavor with Jay-z, Tidal. Kanye asked for his exclusivity agreement to be terminated after a financial dispute. Ye accused the streaming company for breaching his contract, demanding the agreement be terminated, so that he can stream his last album, The Life of Pablo, on other streaming apps. Kanye West also stated that Tidal owe him $3 Million dollars, which also had an impact on his decision to leave.

The trademark application was filed (November 2nd) last week and states the name, “Yeezy Sound” would be use for the purpose of “streaming music, audio, images, videos and other multimedia content over the internet, mobile device, wireless networks, and electronic communications network.” Although there aren’t any details on what it actually is and when we can expect it to be made public, Yeezy fans are none short of excited. The news comes after Kanye performed for the first time in over a year, in Chicago during Kid Cudi’s Passion, Pain and Demon Slayin tour. From his platinum album The Life Of Pablo, Kanye performed “Father, Stretch my hands PT. 1” with friend and long time collaborator Kid Cudi to a sold out crowd. There have been speculations of the two working on a collaborative project after being spotted together in both China and Japan.  Neither Ye or Cudi has confirmed these rumors, but Kid Cudi has been heard during his tour stating that he does have “new music coming out really soon.”
