Mogul and Hip-Hop culture artisan, Russell Simmons, has been in the game for over thirty years. And with experience comes wisdom–a bit of which he recently shared via Mass Appeal. Simmons is the first feature in their new Too Old To Die Young mini-documentary series. The nine minute doc shadows Uncle Rush for a day as he effortlessly juggles business before heading to an interview with The Huffington Post.
Although no workday is the same for Simmons, the one constant is hot yoga and cryotherapy every morning. He’s had the nickname “Rush” for years, but is adamant about taking time to slow down these days. The creative entrepreneur reinforced the importance of doing so through yoga and meditation for both our physical and business benefit. “Creativity comes from presence,” he said in the clip. “There’s no creativity in the future or the past, only when the mind is present.”
