Kali Uchis has been crushing it. The Colombian-American singer first broke onto the music scene in 2014 when she collaborated with hip hop legend Snoop Dogg. She released her first studio EP Por Vida in 2015, and worked with Tyler the Creator, Diplo, Vince Staples, and Kaytranada. She captivates her audience with her smooth voice and dreamy visuals. Her music is genre breaking, but you’ll hear familiar hints of R&B, Doo-wop and Reggae.
Her first project was a 2012 mixtape called Drunken Babble, which was released when she was just 18. It carries a unique sound, putting her on the map as “something different.”
Her personal style matches her music style: unmatched. She contributes a helping hand in all of her visuals keeping the same aesthetics all throughout.
Uchis is also known for her collaborations with multiple hip hop artists. She lent her voice to Tyler The Creator’s “Perfect,” and in 2016 she released “Only Girl” with Vince Staples and Steve Lacy.
